Artisans Guild-Eastern Shore of VA will hold its 17th Annual Holiday Tour on Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28. This is a free, self-directed and self-driven tour – off Rt. 13 in Accomack and Northampton counties, stretching from Cape Charles in the south to Onancock in the north. There are 14 stops with 41 featured artists, two historical buildings, an alpaca farm, and Chatham Vineyards.
Visitors on the tour will discover a wide variety of high quality items, most of which are one-of-a-kind pieces. Jewelry, decoys, wildlife carvings, ceramics, art quilts, pottery, metal sculptures, wearable fiber, Windsor chairs, oil and watercolor paintings and more will be found at the various stops on the tour.
The work created by the Guild artisans is inspired by the unique beauty and history of Virginia’s Eastern Shore, and most incorporate materials found or produced locally. The Guild members are dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich artistic heritage of the area. Light refreshments will be available at some stops.
